What is your preference?

Do you prefer discussions with required REPLIES  by your classmates, or without?

If REPLIES are not required, should I add a reminder that they are always encouraged and welcomed?

  1. I do read through my classmates blog comments so that I can personally see how they felt and reacted towards the films and it helps me better understand my position, however, I feel as though requiring a reply is forcing a response where a simple agreement would suffice.

  2. I agree with Elda. I like seeing what other classmates have to say to mine and other's comments, but sometimes a required reply can feel forced.

  4. I also prefer discussions without required replies, it is sometimes difficult to find a comment you agree with. I believe an optional reply IF you do agree with someone would be a better option and would result in more genuine replies.

  5. Although replies to comments can sometimes be forced, sometimes I appreciate the need to 'force' a thought because it 'forces' me to reconsider what another person is saying, to think outside the box. This usually helps me to write my own original comment, as well.
