I am not able to open the link. I am getting a pop-up saying "the file is unsupported" and I tried on both a Windows computer and Mac. I also tried using a couple of different media servers.
The link wasn't working for me either on my Mac, I found the movie on youtube in Italian and you can go to the settings of the video and make the subtitles in English. The translations aren't the most accurate but it's better than nothing for whoever can't access the link:
Thank you Gabriela. The BC server only accepts videos in WVM format, which is the Windows native format. No mp4. It sorts of make sense that a mac would not be able to read this format. I will pass the info on to ITS, hoping they will rush to install HTML5.
I am still unable to view The Decameron using the link you shared on Blackboard/Blogspot. I have attempted to download the link with several different browsers and have used both Mac and Windows.
As Gabriela stated, the Italian version is available on Youtube, but the English captions are almost unintelligible. I would be willing to purchase the film but I have not found it available anywhere.

ReplyDeleteTry a right click and "open in a new tab" or "open in a new window." I tested it again. and it's working for me.
ReplyDeleteI have tried your suggestions and still cant seem to screen the film.
DeleteAlso, clear History in your browsers.
